22 out of 25 is impressive! Are there any that you want to add to your collection?

… I’d take an “Adam Strange” movie, a “House of Mystery/House of Secrets” that functioned like Creepshow or the Twilight Zone Movie, and can you imagine a movie based on “Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes” (James Gunn would love that one, I bet!)

Thanks Beth! Neal had his hand in several great covers from 1970. I just posted the next installment for 1971 and he’s there a lot too.

Kirby’s 4th world… does it stand the test of time? Other than Darkseid, an awful lot of it seemed to be ‘at the edges of the DCU’ no matter what/when the DCU was being observed?

Comment on Most Valuable Comics of 1970 (Top 25 Key Issues of the Bronze Age) by phoenixbeth https://blog.comicspriceguide.com/top-comic-books-from-1970/#comment-6093 Tue, 28 Oct 2025 19:47:29 +0000 https://blog.comicspriceguide.com/?p=707#comment-6093 This is a great way to approach collecting that I hadn’t thought of before – by year! Keeping one’s mind open to change is fantastic advice for a collector – that can definitely keep someone’s interest from becoming stagnant. Your list showed me how 1970 was really the year of Neal Adams! He had his pencils in at least eight (was it eight?!?) out of these 25 issues. Thanks for the great think-piece Ron! I kind of want to search out copies of X-Men 64 and 66 now!
